Words of encouragement or love are important but do we put those words into action? Words are powerful and impactful when they are backed up. Words are just words and fade away, unless the love shows up in times of need.
We need to be a light in this hard world. Life is precious and we need to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Speaking in love and showing love are more important than we think.
You may think you have nothing to offer. Nothing “important”. You know what’s the most amazing thing you can offer? Real love. Lending someone a helping hand, reaching out, even showing kindness to someone that you may think won’t appreciate it.
You never know whose day you will make or even whose entire life you may impact. Even with one act of love. And what it does for you? It can make that ache in your own heart start to heal a bit.
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
John 13:34
