There are times in life where we have to make hard decisions…decisions on what we can and can not control. Deciding what’s worth holding on to and what we have to let go of.
These moments can be so painful but these are the very moments that shape us. If we want to be the best version of ourselves, who God creates us to be, we have to let go of situations or things that tear us down or keep us stuck. We have to accept the hard truth that some things have to be left at the feet of Jesus.
What good are we if we are drained and no life left within us? Why let toxic situations, that are out of our control, drain all the love we have like a vampire? That very light and love within us should be given where God directs…where He knows that it will make a difference in someone’s life. We can trust our Father with our hearts and how He will protect it.
It does not mean pain will not come our way but as we go down the path of life, we’ll look back and realize the way God protected us. He knows what we need and will never leave our side, especially in the hard moments of change and walking away.
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
~Isaiah 40:31
In order for us to spread our wings, we must know what belongs in our lives and what is meant to be let go of. A moment of surrender to God, even with the ones we love but not what God wants for us. Just wait, the best is yet to come and you will sore.
