Growing up can be scary. Turning 30 can be scary. The fear of losing my youthfulness and not being fun or interesting. But who said that? Society?
What if I think that I love the woman I've become? What if I choose to still think of myself as young and getting better with age? Cause that's the more important thing here.
Just cause I'm getting older does not mean I'm useless. It means that I've lived a few chapters in my story and it has gotten better with each page.
Perspective. That's how your story gets better. That's how you grow. Growth is a beautiful goal to have and how does that happen?
Well...it's especially through the hard moments and choices we have to make.
The question to ask yourself is how am I getting better and how am I not getting better? And what do I need to do to make more peace and growth in my life?
Easier said than done and it's also about letting go of control...do your part in love and give the rest to God. That goes for any situation in life.
We're all guilty of trying to make everything work but then you forget about your own heart in the process. Take care of your heart first cause that's your source of love for yourself and others.
As time goes by, the more I realize that I can do whatever I set my mind to and can truly live my life. The more you feed your passions, the more opportunities for your heart to grow louder and your insecurities to be silenced.
I'm ready for 30. I'm ready for the next chapter in my journey.
